  I believe that the God of the OT is the same as the Father of Jesus in the NT, but He became much more civilized as ages went by because of his dealings with other intelligent beings, angels and humans.

  Can't you just do some online course and 'voila' an ordained minister!

  But why bother? Just print yourself out a neat little diploma and call yourself one.

  After all, all the Jws are ordained ministers and they dont even have a fancy bit of paper...

  has anyone else recieved the letter from the gb about international conventions in 2014?

  according to the letter the missionarys/order of full time servants desperately need to get to the conventions in their homeland.

  so to accomplish this, jehovah needs 15 cents per publisher, per congregation for some months ( sorry i can't remember the exact length of time ).

  It always intrigued me, but never bothered me when these type of letters were read out. So suckered i guess that the warning bells had padding on them i guess.

  But I always knew that the elders would do exactly as per the letter, add up the numbers and make a resolution to the congregation who would of course ALL raise their hands in support.

  The WT masters have long known that all they have to do is ask and they SHALL receive. Nobody dares to not obey. It is one giant cash cow. The WT just passes on every itty bitty cost back to the single publisher just like any other business.

  I mean, how are they going to stay comfortable if they have to pay for it themselves?

  what an evil bunch...the 70000 probably deserved do die for some undesclosed sin anyway, so it was ok.

  holy shit man, thats messed up thinking. how could my mother have fallen for that? I wish i had seen the glaring inconsistencies mant years ago.

  You know, it makes me think of a father that comes home from work, lines up all the kids and belts the crap out of them, because they must surely have done something horrid that day that deserved it.

  Talk about desperation...and splitting hairs!

  why even if the aux pio last day falls on the evening of the co visit...can still attend the meeting with all the other pioneers.

  How many i wonder lost their 'privlege' of being a regular pioneer and MS etc for falling short on their hours, only to find that even the next month a letter could come along reducing the pioneer hours below what they were getting in the first place.

  truly remarkable how jehovah keeps shifting boundaries on his people.

  QR codes: a way to stop APOSTATES !!!

  interesting meeting today.the do had the last talk and he mentioned a couple of things i have not heard before :.

  1) the new lighter magazines are designed in a way to attract people to our website .

  2)the ministry will change to incoprorate preacing in town centres and and with stands as in manhattan and certain brothers will be allocated to do this .so it is done now in a big scale ,organised.. 3)the qr codes at the back of the magazines are there for smart phone users to guide them directly to jw.org ,unlike bad old internet via laptops and pc's that you have to look for the website on google and sometimes end up in enemy websites that look like our website but are spreading lies about jw's (he said exactly that!

  An Elder and a Wanna be elder m/s came round to 'shepherd' the wife and I. I wasn't doing much in the way of preaching and reaching out, wasn't inactive but i guessed they figured i could be doing more, so the M/S called me...

  AN IDIOT

  No shit!

  He figured i was an idiot coz i had an attractive wife, no kids and wasn't making moves to survive the big A. He figured that if didn't care enough to keep the great life I had, forever, i must be an idiot.
